Your Skills Profile adds your education, work experience, and job skills to your assessment results. MayaMaya uses it to analyze your job skills and recommend job roles in your report.
When you build your Skills Profile
The first time you complete 27 questions, MayaMaya opens Build Your Profile automatically. You can reopen it later from the Skills tab to update your profile.
Complete the seven steps
Select Continue to move to the next step, or Back to return to the previous one. Fields marked (Optional) can be left blank.
- Education (optional) – select every education level that applies to you, such as Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, Professional Certification, or Self-taught. Select Skip if you do not want to add education.
- Current Role – enter your current job title. Adding the industry you work in is optional.
- Job Tasks – select the tasks you do from the AI-suggested list, and add your own if something is missing. You can ask MayaMaya to suggest a new set of tasks.
- Skills – select your skills from the AI-suggested list, and add any others you have.
- Resume (optional) – upload your resume. A resume gives MayaMaya more detail for your insights.
- Career Identity – review the Career Identity Statement MayaMaya drafts for you. Confirm it, or edit it so it describes you accurately.
- Future Aspirations – choose the career direction you want to grow toward.
On the last step, select Complete Profile. MayaMaya saves your profile and uses it in your reports.
| Leaving before you finish? If you close Build Your Profile before completing it, MayaMaya warns you that your unsaved changes will be discarded. Select Stay to keep working, or Leave to close without saving. |
Update your profile later
Select the Skills tab to see Your Profile Summary, including your current Career Identity Statement.
- Update your profile – select Edit. Build Your Profile opens at Step 1 with your current answers filled in. Make your changes, then continue through the steps and select Complete Profile to save.
- Upload or replace your resume – under Your Resume, select Upload and choose your resume file.
- View your reports – select View Reports to go
to the Reports tab.
