Once you are connected with a partner organization, you choose exactly which profiles and job roles they can see. This guide explains how to share, what partners see, and how to stop sharing.
Before you begin
- Partner Collaboration must be turned on, and the partner connection must be Active.
- The matching sharing capability (Share Profiles or Share Job Roles) must be turned on for that partner. See Setting Up and Managing Partner Connections.
Share profiles
- Go to People > Profiles.
- Select the profiles you want to share.
- Choose Share with Partner from Select bulk action, then choose the partner organization.
The Shared With column shows which partners can see each profile.
What partners see
- Skill-level details for each shared profile.
- Not the person's current role.
- If Protect Profile Identity is on, a protected profile ID instead of the person's name and email address.
Share job roles
Only Public job roles can be shared. Private roles stay within your organization.
- Share several roles: go to Settings > Job Roles, select the roles, and choose Share with Partner from Select bulk action.
- Share one role: edit the role, set Role Type to Public, choose partners under Select Partners, and select Update Job Role.
If the Share Department is on for the partner, the role's department label is shared too. See Creating and Managing Job Roles.
Stop sharing
- Go to Settings > My Organization > Partners and select Manage on the partner's row.
- Open the Profiles or Job Roles tab, select the items, and choose Remove from the bulk actions.
- Select Save Changes.
What partners share with you
- The Shared by partner column in the Partner Directory shows what each partner shares with you.
- Job roles shared by partners appear under Partner Roles in Hiring.
- Profiles shared by partners appear in Hiring match results with the source Partner Shared.
